Every pupil , from Junior Infants up to Sixth Class, took part in a Butterfly Art Workshop.
The event was planned by the teachers and the Parents Council to run alongside the Live Butterfly Science Projects in Mrs. Walsh’s and Mrs. McNamara’s rooms.
Throughout this term, the children have patiently waited and studied in anticipation of the opening of their own real caterpillar chrysalis. The real, live butterflies have now emerged and are ready to be set free for the summer!
At the art workshop, to celebrate the arrival of the school butterflies, all the children worked together to create five, beautiful, giant collaged butterflies. The display will add a lovely splash of colour to our school halla.
Well done everyone!
