Bridgetown Green School’s Committee are in the process of planning a ‘Fun Cycle’ to raise awareness of cycling and the benefits for ourselves and the environment, in our community. This will take place on the 10th of June and begin at 9.30 am. There will be tea, coffee and cake available at the school and all are welcome to attend the school for this community get together. The children from 3rd to 6th class will cycle an under 5 km route, up the Cappakea road and in a loop down Ardnataggle and up part of the Broadford to Bridgetown road to return to the school. We anticipate that the cycle will take 30 to 40 minutes to complete. Parents and teachers will chaperone the children and children will need their own bike and a helmet to take part. Any parents who are available to participate in the event are most welcome and should contact the school as soon as possible. Parents are asked to wear a helmet if cycling with us as a good example to children on cycling safety.
